From a friend of NDC; Next week we are going to be filming a scene in studio, incorporating a shallow man-made canal, that requires several background performers who have a knowledge of and are comfortable with piloting a watercraft similar to a small chinese junk or punt boat. I thought I’d try the local Dragon Boat Clubs to see if you know of anyone who has such skills or alternately could advise me of further search avenues. The shoot dates for the scene are Monday the 22nd of August to Friday the 26th of August. Ideally anyone hired for the job would be available for all of the days of work, but we would appreciate anyone who has any of those days open to contact us. As an extra with a special skill you would be remunerated at the rate of $248.75 for an 8 hour day of work, plus $46.75/hr thereafter. A shoot day regularly runs 12-14 hours.
