Thank you to all of the paddlers, coaches, team managers, officials and especially the volunteers for making the 2011 International Canoe Federation Dragonboat World Club Crew Championships such a a success. We greatly appreciate the commitment, time and hard work that everyone displayed over the hottest four days in Toronto. Also, we greatly appreciate the support and work of Toronto Northern Legs Southern Fists Kung Fu Dragon and Lion Dance Team, Jonathan Maister, Sport Massage Therapist (C) and Pen Smith, Sport Massage Therapist (cc). Congratulations to the NDC crews who participated in the Toronto Cup. The Mofos took gold, Smoke on the Water took silver and William Osler bronze. In the ICF Championships class NDC’s Rep Programs performed well, winning many of their races or finishing on the podium at the very least. A big congratulations go out to the Intellectual Disability teams who not only raced hard but raced with heart and brought many smiles and spectators over the weekend.   The Closing Ceremony Party was full of dancing and good times with a new favourite band, Low Level Flight. Lots of great beers were on offer as well as lots of food for all of the early arrivals. Sneak hint: NDC is looking forward to having another party at the end of the year to celebrate everyone’s hard work and incredible accomplishments. Stay tuned!
