NDC TAKES OTTAWA WITH A SUB-2:00.00 TIME
In the lead-up to the Canadian National Club Crew Race-offs in Welland the National Dragonboat Club premier teams headed to Ottawa for a final tune-up race against some of the best regional talent. Facing off against the Montreal Mixed crew, Verdun Adrenaline and Express, MOFOs, The Merge, and others NDC was given a good run for the money across 500m, 200m and even a 100m shoot-out!
The NDC Slipstream crew coached by Blake Hara took top honours with the fastest time of the weekend of a 1:58. Filling out the top three from NDC were the New Dragons Racing Club Premier crew coached by Konrad Doerrbecker. Also in the thick of the race were the MOFOs who are back on the water at Sunnyside after a year hiatus. Welcome back and congrats!

The NDC Premier Representative Crews will next be on the water July 1-3 in Welland at the Dragonboat Canada National Championships looking to take the berth for the IDBF 2012 World Championships in Hong Kong. The racing will be absolutely cut-throat as teams from across the country face-off for the top 5 spots from Canada. Come out to Welland next weekend to cheer on NDC as we make the step to HK2012!
