2011 Launch Saturday!
Despite the temperature and precipitation the calendar does not lie, April is here and that means time to get on the water. With paddlers returning from southern spring training camps and less than a week until our 2011 launch date we’re working hard to get crews organized to get the boats out of storage and onto the water.
The Club has committed to launching the fleet THIS SATURDAY April 9th, at 10AM at Sunnyside. Following the launch, participating crews will be invited out for an ‘ice-breaker’ open practice session. After a week of scheduled maintenance on the boats we’ll be having our first day of practice Saturday, April 16th.
The boats are currently on racks spread throughout the Sunnyside Pavilion and it’s a short trip down to the beachfront. As always, the Club will be providing Fruit, Coffee, Tea, Muffins and so forth for all participants.
What to bring: Outdoor clothing, Work gloves, Refillable mug. Also maybe: rubber boots
