Labour Day Holidays - SUNNYSIDE CLOSED MONDAY
Sunnyside will be closed for the Labour Day holiday weekend (Fri, Sep 2 through Mon, Sep 5), and will be open for business as usual next Tuesday, September 6th.

Additional Boats
Two additional boats have been added to the Sunnyside dragonboat fleet to accommodate the increased number of teams preparing for the GWN Challenge (September 10/11). These additional boats should help to alleviate demand on our existing BuK/Kahlua fleet and ensure that NDC teams have all possible advantages in final preparation for the final major race of the season.

This past weekend National Dragonboat Club entered the first ever NDC Junior Men’s 1,000m War Canoe crew in the CanoeKayak Canada Nationals at the Welland International Flatwater Centre placing 5th of 9 crews. Practice Time Shift
Paddlers should enjoy their last week of practices at 5:00PM, 6:00PM, 7:00PM and 8:00PM. Beginning next week, beginning Monday, August 29th all practices will be shifting up or back to 5:30PM, 6:30PM or 7:30PM to accommodate for the falling light levels.

Due to dangerous lightning activity our lifeguard team has cancelled all practices at 7PM and 8PM tonight. Please contact the office to reschedule any make-up practices.

Due to high wind and associated waves all teams practicing tonight, Wednesday, June 1 are invited to voluntarily cancel their practice and reschedule for another date.
With gusts of up to 65km/h out of the west we will only be opening the western section of the watercourse for practices tonight.

Launch was a complete and total success!
A season of thanks go out to all who were able to attend the beach on Saturday. With 15 degrees and plenty of sun almost 80 people took home their first sun tan of the summer. Only the ten best boats were launched so it was a quick procedure handled in record time of 47 minutes. Registration and Payment
Before beginning practices all teams training with NDC are required to have their accounts paid in full and in good standing. Most teams have followed the payment guidelines but there are teams out there that are still unpaid.
